Amman, Feb. 12 (Petra) – A Danish parliamentary delegation Thursday visited the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) to learn about the commission's work, goals and its efforts in the fight against corruption.

ACC President Abed Kharabsheh reviewed the commission's duties within the national anti-corruption strategy framework and the establishing of a good governance principle, integrity, transparency and accountability.

The commission works in cooperation with various institutions of the public and private sector as well as civil society and international bodies to develop effective strategies capable of ending corruption at the source, Kharabsheh said, while stressing that these anti-corruption efforts require international cooperation to prevent and control it.

The head of the delegation, Jacob Lund, offered condolences for the martyrdom of Captain Muath Al Kasasbeh, and emphasized Denmark's solidarity with Jordan in the fight against terrorism.

The Danish delegation called for the need to fight crime and corruption as well as to strengthen international efforts in this aspect.

They also voiced their appreciation for the efforts undertaken by Jordan in maintaining regional stability and security and to promote good governance in Jordan's public and private institutions.
